A family activity works best when the adults and kids are participating together instead of waiting for separate age groups to finish separate activities.
An escape room can do that, but room choice matters.
At Trapped! Las Vegas, there is no minimum age requirement. The recommended minimum participation age is 12.
Start with the child, not the age number
The 12+ recommendation is useful guidance, not a promise that every 12-year-old will love every room.

Younger children may enjoy finding objects and noticing details even when older players handle more of the logic.
Check the room’s intensity
Most Trapped! Las Vegas rooms are not scary.
One Eyed Jack is the exception. It contains horror elements and is recommended for older teens and adults.
Operation: X-13, The Lair of the Puzzlemaster, and Project Zeta are currently presented as family-friendly experiences.
Pandora’s Box is not a horror room, but its room page notes water, heat, strobe lighting, and other effects that can feel intense for some younger participants.
The right family room is the one whose atmosphere works for everyone you are bringing. Compare the current rooms before you choose.
Private booking helps family groups
Every Trapped! Las Vegas room is private.
Your family is not combined with strangers, so parents can let kids participate at their own pace without worrying about another group taking over the game.
It also means you can choose who is part of the team when mixing children, parents, grandparents, or other relatives. For a birthday, the party options add party-room time to the visit.
Help kids participate without solving everything for them
Give younger players real jobs.
Ask them to search a section of the room, match symbols, remember a detail, or explain what they think an object could connect to.
Adults can keep the game moving while still giving kids the satisfaction of making discoveries.
If the whole group gets stuck, hints are available when requested.
Plan the practical parts
All participants need a waiver.
Trapped! is less than one mile from the Strip and has free on-site parking, which makes arrival simpler for families than an activity that requires navigating a large resort garage.
